Your Red Oak pooper scooper
Dog poop scooping in Red Oak.
Red Oak sits on I-35E about 20 miles south of Dallas, in northern Ellis County, a short drive from our home base in DeSoto. Booty Scoopy is family owned and operated by Brandon and Christina, and we started it for a simple reason: between work, family, dogs and everything else, nobody wants to spend their free time searching the backyard for poop. Whether you live near Watkins Park, out toward I-35E or anywhere else in Red Oak, we keep the yard clean for your family and your dogs.
Red Oak has grown from 350 people in 1950 to 14,222 at the 2020 Census. Pick once a week, twice a week or four times a week, or start with a one-time cleanup before a party or after a long break. Every visit, we walk the whole yard, double-bag and knot the waste, sanitize the bags before they go in your trash can, and double-check that the gate is latched behind us.
Still catching a whiff after the yard's been scooped? Our enzyme deodorizer goes after urine and feces odors on lawns, patios and dog runs, and we scoop artificial turf too. Your dogs get treat drop-offs from Pickles Dog Treats, a local woman-owned business that makes little poop-shaped treats for us. New customers get $25 off their first month.

Red Oak's dog rules.
No dogs running at large
Dogs can't run loose on streets, alleys or public places. At all times, a dog must be fenced in, kept inside, secured on your property by a leash or chain, or on a leash under your control. That's why every park on this page means a leashed walk.
A four-pet limit
The city's Animal Control FAQ says the limit is no more than 4 cats and dogs in total.
Rabies by 6 months
Pets must be vaccinated against rabies by 6 months of age, according to the same FAQ.
Leave dogs home for city events
The city says its community events aren't pet friendly, so non-service animals should stay home.
Impound fees
Impoundment fees are $25 for a first violation, $40 for a second, $55 for a third and $100 for a fourth, plus $10 a day for the animal's keep.
Why it matters here
Red Oak is named for the creek that runs just south of town and the red oak trees along its banks. Red Oak Creek is one of the streams that drain most of Ellis County toward the Trinity River, and the city's storm drains empty into it. Red Oak's own stormwater page says runoff from roofs, streets and driveways can pick up pet waste, and that stormwater isn't treated before it reaches local streams, creeks and lakes. The city's 2025 stormwater plan reports that Red Oak Creek isn't listed as impaired in the state's 2024 water quality report. Scooping the yard every week keeps one more source of pet waste out of it.

Frequently asked
Red Oak questions, answered.

How much does dog poop scooping cost in Red Oak, TX?
For most Red Oak yards with one dog on a weekly plan, it comes to under $25 a scoop, billed monthly. Your exact price depends on how many dogs you have, how often we come and your ZIP code, and our quote shows it on the spot. New customers get $25 off their first month, and we give discounts to veterans, teachers, first responders and seniors.
Is there a pooper scooper near me in Red Oak?
Yes. Booty Scoopy is a family-owned pooper scooper just up the road in DeSoto, and we scoop yards in Red Oak's ZIP code 75154. Put your ZIP code in the quote form and we'll confirm your street.
How often should I have my Red Oak yard scooped?
Once a week suits most Red Oak yards: nothing piles up in the Texas heat, and the yard stays ready for kids, guests and the lawn mower. Homes with several dogs do best twice a week, and big packs four times a week.
Do I need to be home when you scoop my Red Oak yard?
No. Just leave the gate unlocked. We walk the whole yard, double-bag and knot the waste, put it in your trash can and double-check that the gate is latched before we leave.
Can I get a one-time yard cleanup in Red Oak?
Yes. A one-time cleanup gets a yard that's gotten away from you back to clean, before a party, a move or a new puppy, or after a long weekend of trips to Watkins Park. Pick "One-time cleanup" in the quote to see the price.
Do you scoop artificial turf in Red Oak?
Yes. We scoop turf, pads and gravel dog areas and apply our enzyme deodorizer, which also works on lawns and patios that still smell after a scoop. We don't steam clean or deep wash turf.
Is there a contract for poop scooping in Red Oak?
No. There are no long-term contracts with Booty Scoopy: start, pause or cancel anytime, with no cancellation fees.
Who will be scooping my yard in Red Oak?
Brandon and Christina, the owners. Booty Scoopy is a husband-and-wife business just up the road in DeSoto, not a franchise, so the people you call or text are the people in your yard.
Is there a dog park in Red Oak?
The city's parks pages don't list one. Oaks Trail Park, Lake Trail Park and Watkins Park all have trails for a leashed walk. For off-leash play, Lancaster's fenced Dog Park at City Park, 211 W. Belt Line Road, is a short drive away.
Do Red Oak dogs have to be on a leash?
Yes. A dog can't run at large on streets, alleys or public places. It has to be fenced in, kept inside, secured on your property, or on a leash under your control.
How many pets can I have in Red Oak?
The city's Animal Control page says no more than 4 cats and dogs in total, and pets need a rabies vaccination by 6 months of age.
