Your Midlothian pooper scooper
Dog poop scooping in Midlothian.
Midlothian sits in the northwest corner of Ellis County, about 25 miles south of Dallas, where US 67 and US 287 cross. Booty Scoopy is a family business from DeSoto, owned and run by Brandon and Christina, and we drive out to Midlothian because we want to serve this community. We scoop residential yards throughout the city and the surrounding northwest Ellis County neighborhoods, whether you live near Lake Grove Park, out toward US 287 or anywhere in between.
On your scheduled day we walk the whole yard and pick up every pile. The waste is double-bagged, knotted and sanitized before it goes in your trash can, our tools, boots and buckets are sanitized between yards, and we double-check that your gate is latched before we leave, so you don't need to be home. Pick once a week, twice a week or four times a week, or book a one-time cleanup before a backyard get-together. There's no contract, and new customers get $25 off the first month.
Weekly scooping also lines up with the city's own advice. Midlothian's pet waste information sheet asks residents to pick up their yards at least once a week, because waste left on the grass washes into storm drains and on to local creeks and lakes. If a patio or dog run still smells after the scoop, we can add our enzyme deodorizer, and we scoop artificial turf too.

Clean up at the dog park
The Midlothian Dog Park rules, Ordinance 2018-52, say handlers must clean up and properly dispose of any waste their dog leaves.
Leash and pick up in city parks
Leashed pets are welcome in Midlothian's city parks, but not on the sport fields, and owners must pick up after them. Most parks have pet waste stations, and parks are open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
At home: scoop at least weekly
The city's pet waste information sheet asks residents to pick up their own yards at least once a week and bag the waste for the trash. It also says pet waste is not fertilizer, and homes on septic systems should not flush it.
Loose or barking dogs
Report loose dogs, injured animals or barking dogs to the non-emergency line, 972-775-3333, and call 911 for a dangerous or aggressive dog. Midlothian Animal Services only takes in strays found inside city limits.
Why it matters here
Midlothian sits atop the Austin Escarpment, near the highest ground in Ellis County, and the city's stormwater plan names the main streams that receive its runoff: Bedford Branch, North Prong Creek, South Prong Creek, Waxahachie Creek, Soap Creek and Hollings Branch. Waxahachie Creek rises a mile north of town and runs 23.5 miles southeast, alongside US 287 to Waxahachie and on through Bardwell Reservoir. In the end, Midlothian's stormwater reaches Joe Pool Lake, Lake Bardwell and Lake Waxahachie. The city warns that pet waste left outside washes into storm drains and carries bacteria, nitrogen and phosphorus into local creeks and lakes, and its stormwater plan lists pet waste as a target pollutant. The good news: the plan says none of the city's waters are on the state's 2024 list of impaired water bodies. A scooped yard helps keep it that way.

Frequently asked
Midlothian questions, answered.

How much does dog poop scooping cost in Midlothian, TX?
For most Midlothian yards with one dog on a weekly plan, it comes to under $25 a scoop, billed monthly. Your exact price depends on how many dogs you have, how often we come and your ZIP code, and our quote shows it on the spot. New customers get $25 off their first month, and we give discounts to veterans, teachers, first responders and seniors.
Is there a pooper scooper near me in Midlothian?
Yes. Booty Scoopy is a family-owned pooper scooper a short drive northeast in DeSoto, and we scoop yards in Midlothian's ZIP codes 76065 and 76084. Put your ZIP code in the quote form and we'll confirm your street.
Do I need to be home when you scoop my Midlothian yard?
No. Just leave the gate unlocked. We walk the whole yard, double-bag and knot the waste, put it in your trash can and double-check that the gate is latched before we leave.
Can I get a one-time yard cleanup in Midlothian?
Yes. A one-time cleanup gets a yard that's gotten away from you back to clean, before a party, a move or a new puppy, or after a long weekend of trips to Midlothian Dog Park. Pick "One-time cleanup" in the quote to see the price.
Do you scoop artificial turf in Midlothian?
Yes. We scoop turf, pads and gravel dog areas and apply our enzyme deodorizer, which also works on lawns and patios that still smell after a scoop. We don't steam clean or deep wash turf.
Is there a contract for poop scooping in Midlothian?
No. There are no long-term contracts with Booty Scoopy: start, pause or cancel anytime, with no cancellation fees.
Who will be scooping my yard in Midlothian?
Brandon and Christina, the owners. Booty Scoopy is a husband-and-wife business a short drive northeast in DeSoto, not a franchise, so the people you call or text are the people in your yard.
Do I have to pick up after my dog in Midlothian parks?
Yes. At the Midlothian Dog Park, Ordinance 2018-52 requires handlers to clean up and properly dispose of their dog's waste. In city parks, leashed pets are welcome off the sport fields, and owners must pick up after them.
How often should a Midlothian yard be scooped?
The city's pet waste information sheet says at least once a week, so rain doesn't carry the waste to storm drains and local creeks. We scoop once a week, twice a week for busy yards, or four times a week for big packs.
What do I need to bring my dog to the Midlothian Dog Park?
A license and current vaccinations, with the tags on your dog's collar, and a leash for each dog. Dogs must be at least 4 months old, each person can bring two, and food, treats and spike, pinch or prong collars stay home.
Who do I call about a loose dog in Midlothian?
Midlothian Animal Services takes reports of loose, injured or barking dogs through the non-emergency number, 972-775-3333. For a dangerous or aggressive dog, call 911.
