Getting started

Before your first visit.

How much does dog poop scooping cost in DeSoto, TX?

For one dog on a weekly plan, it comes to under $25 a scoop, billed monthly. Your price depends on how many dogs you have, how often we come and your ZIP code, and our quote shows it on the spot. New customers get $25 off their first month, and we give discounts to veterans, teachers, first responders and seniors.

Do I need to be home when you scoop?

Nope! Just make sure your gate is unlocked. We sanitize our gear, scoop the yard, and double-check that your gate is securely latched before leaving.

Are there any long-term contracts?

Never! You can start, pause or cancel service anytime with zero cancellation fees.

How often can you come?

Once a week, twice a week or four times a week, plus one-time cleanups. Tell us about your dogs and we'll help you pick.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes. New customers get $25 off their first month, and we give discounts to veterans, teachers, first responders and seniors.

What payment options do you accept?

We offer flexible payment options to fit your preference, including credit and debit cards, Zelle, cash and automatic online billing. Recurring service is billed monthly.

Do you work weekends?

Yes. Service is available on the weekends.

Can I book just one cleanup?

Yes. A one-time cleanup is a fast, thorough yard reset before a get-together, a backyard barbecue or a party, or after a long break. Pick "One-time cleanup" in the quote to see the price.

What towns do you serve?

DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Red Oak, Glenn Heights, Lancaster, Ovilla, Oak Leaf, Midlothian, Waxahachie, Mansfield, Ennis, Wilmer, Hutchins, Arlington and Euless. Not sure about your street? Put your ZIP code in the quote form, or call or text us.

Is there a pooper scooper near me in DeSoto?

Yes. Booty Scoopy is family owned and operated by Brandon and Christina right here in DeSoto, and we scoop yards all over town and in 14 towns around it. Put your ZIP code in the quote form and we'll confirm your street.

How do you keep my dogs safe?

We thoroughly sanitize all tools, boots and collection buckets between every single yard to prevent cross-contamination.

What do you do with the dog waste?

We double-bag every bit of waste, seal each bag with a poop knot, and sanitize the bags inside and out before placing them in your trash can on site. Nothing sits around: it's sealed, sanitized and out of sight.

How often should dog poop be picked up in my yard?

At least once a week for most yards. Waste left longer smells, draws flies and burns the grass, and rain washes what's left toward storm drains and creeks. Homes with several dogs do best twice a week, and big packs four times a week.

What are the treats you leave?

All-natural treats from Pickles Dog Treats, a local woman-owned business that makes little poop-shaped treats for Booty Scoopy customers.

Who will be scooping my yard?

Booty Scoopy is family owned and operated by Brandon and Christina in DeSoto. When you call or text, you reach the owners.

Can you pick up dog poop on artificial turf?

Yes. We scoop turf, pads and gravel dog areas the same way we scoop grass, bag the waste and put it in your trash can, then apply our enzyme deodorizer to the spots that need it.

Do you clean up dog poop in HOA common areas?

Yes. We scoop HOA common areas, walking paths, green belts and the grass by the entrance on a set schedule. Tell us about the property and we'll put together a plan.

Service

How a visit works.

Is it bad to leave dog poop in the yard?

Yes. Dog waste doesn't feed the lawn like fertilizer: it burns the grass, draws flies and can carry bacteria and parasites like roundworms that stay in the soil, where kids and dogs play. When it rains, it washes toward storm drains and local creeks. Picking it up on a schedule keeps paws and play areas clean.

What happens if it rains?

We scoop in light rain! If heavy storms hit, we'll reschedule your service or double up on your next visit so your yard stays clean.

Do you scoop the front yard too?

Yes. Pick it when you sign up and we'll include it, along with side yards, dog runs, a kids' play area or the pool area.

Can I add deodorizing to my regular visits?

Yes. Book it once for a problem spot, or ask us to add it to your recurring plan.

Deodorizing & turf

Smells and turf.

What is lawn deodorizing?

It's a treatment for the smell that stays after the poop is picked up. We apply an eco-friendly, water-activated, enzyme-based deodorizer that breaks down odors and bacteria from urine, feces and even vomit at the source, instead of covering them up.

Do I need lawn deodorizing for my yard?

If you still catch a whiff after the yard has been scooped, yes. It helps most with several dogs, a favorite potty spot, a patio, dog run or turf that holds urine smell, and the summer heat that bakes it in.

Is lawn deodorizing dangerous for my dogs?

No. Our deodorizer is an eco-friendly, water-activated enzyme treatment made to be safe for pets and children. It's tough on smells and gentle on pets.

How long does yard deodorizer last?

It works best with repeat treatments: the enzymes work their way into the top layer of soil and break down odor at the source, so a yard that has smelled for a while can take more than one treatment to come all the way back. That's why most customers add it to their scooping plan as a regular treatment.

What does the deodorizer do?

It's an eco-friendly enzyme deodorizer that breaks down odors and bacteria from urine, feces and even vomit. It's tough on smells, gentle on pets, and leaves your yard smelling fresh.

Where can you use the deodorizer?

Lawns, patios and dog runs: the grass, concrete and runs where your dogs spend the most time.

Why does my artificial turf smell like dog pee?

Turf can't absorb and break down urine the way soil and grass do, so it settles into the backing and infill and bakes in the Texas sun. Scooping takes care of the waste, and our enzyme deodorizer breaks down the odor at the source instead of covering it up.

How often should artificial turf be scooped?

Once a week for most homes, and twice a week for a busy turf yard or potty spot with several dogs. Turf looks clean longer than grass, which is exactly why waste gets missed on it.

Do you steam clean or deep wash turf?

No. We scoop turf, pads and gravel dog areas and apply our deodorizer. We don't steam clean or deep wash turf.

Can you scoop my grass and my turf on the same visit?

Yes. Plenty of yards have both, like grass out back and a turf potty spot by the patio. Pick the areas when you sign up and we'll scoop them all on the same visit.

Commercial

For HOAs and properties.

Do you scoop apartment dog parks?

Yes. Apartment dog parks and pet areas get a lot of use, so we set a schedule around how busy they are, from once a week to several times a week.

How often should an HOA or apartment community have pet waste picked up?

Most shared spaces need a scoop at least once a week. Dog parks and busy paths do best two or more times a week, because nobody owns the cleanup in a shared space, so it usually doesn't happen on its own.

Who do we work with on a commercial property?

The owners. Booty Scoopy is a husband-and-wife business from DeSoto, so property managers and HOA boards talk directly to Brandon or Christina, by phone, text or email.
